Database Trends and Applications – ManageEngine Applications Manager Adds Support for Cassandra, MongoDB

IT management company ManageEngine has announced that its on-premise application performance monitoring solution, Applications Manager, now supports NoSQL databases Apache Cassandra and MongoDB. This solution monitors application performance and provides operational intelligence for NoSQL technologies in addition to support for traditional relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL and memcached.

NoSQL technologies increase the complexity of the applications they power and are often difficult for IT to manage. Applications Manager allows IT teams to monitor the performance of Cassandra and MongoDB databases to ensure the applications perform as expected. “A lot of the traditional things you would do with relational databases in terms of monitoring and performance management need to happen with databases like Mongo or Cassandra where you’re looking at memory utilization, database connections, memory allocation, etc.,” Raj Sabhlok, president of ManageEnginge, tells 5 Minute Briefing.
